Film school: “From Witness to Parable”

We invite teachers and students to a seminar on making documentary films inspired by the grand stories of the 20th century. Deadline for applications is 5 May 2017!

The seminar's target audience is individual or groups of students in grades 6 and up with an interest in retelling the stories of the 20th century via documentary film. The Memorial of Silence at Bubny Station has spent a long time preparing its exhibition concept and educational programs related to the memory of the past. At this seminar, we will discuss how to capture the past using camera and microphone, how to process the recorded material, and how to make the past come alive while bringing it into the present.

The Memorial of Silence has many years of experience working with schools where students create short and longer documentary films. Students work with original material from both the past and the present.
